Joseph R. Ferrito ,Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Joseph Ferrito was born and raised in San Jose, California. He has been a practicing audiologist for over 30 years. Dr. Ferrito is the founder and director of The Hearing Center (formerly Hearing & Speech Services) with three offices located in San Jose and Morgan Hill, California. Upon receiving his Masters degree in Audiology from San Jose State University, Dr. Ferrito was appointed to the faculty where he taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Communication Disorders and Sciences.

Understanding that each patient has unique communication and lifestyle needs, Dr. Ferrito and his staff strive to establish a long-term relationship with each patient. Their goal is to provide the highest level of patient care and satisfaction. Dr. Ferrito's years of experience have taught him that technology alone doesn't help people hear better, but rather it's how well the practitioner works with the patient and applies the technology.

In his free time, Dr. Ferrito enjoys golf, travel and spending time with family and friends. He and his wife of 35 years, Lori, reside in Los Gatos, California. They have four grown children.

Gary Miyasaki, Au.D, CCC-A
Doctor of Audiology

Gary Miyasaki is a Northern Californian, born and raised in Santa Rosa. He completed his undergraduate studies at University of California, Davis in 2005 with his Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior, with a Minor in Music. He received his Doctor of Audiology degree at University of Washington, Seattle in 2010.

He has always enjoyed helping those in need and his experiences in practicing audiology has provided him just that opportunity. He believes in providing excellent quality of care to patients and taking extra steps to ensure customer satisfaction.

For fun, he enjoys watching the San Francisco Giants, running, and playing guitar. He loves spending time with his family, friends, and his girlfriend.

Our Staff

Tracy Dettmer-Pia
Front Office/Marketing Coordinator

Tracy has been with The Hearing Center since April 2008 and works full-time at our San Jose office.

She is an honors graduate of Bryman College and has been in the healthcare industry for 5 years.

She is always happy to help you with all your questions and concerns regarding your appointments, payments, hearing instrument repairs, and clean and checks.
Tracy is also the liaison for physicians who refer (or would like to refer) patients to The Hearing Center.
With her warm and patient personality, Tracy can be counted on for follow-up and thorough patient care.

Michelle Delisle
Front Office

Michelle has been with the Hearing Center since September 2008.

She answers the phones, schedules appointments and will always greet you with a smile if you visit our Villages, San Jose, or Morgan Hill offices.

She can also clean your hearing aids and perform any minor repairs your devices might need.

Michelle has several years experience working with healthcare patients, and enjoys working closely with them and their families.
